Grand Soleil boats were designed for excellent performance,
but without compromising strength and reliability. That is why the
yard treasures its severe regatta tests. Under its elegant exterior
a Grand Soleil hides an internal build structure created with
the most modern technology available. Everything starts in the
prototype department. Here they study innovative solutions and
put materials through severe resistance tests. For its hulls and
decks, the yard uses cutting-edge production processes including
sandwich and lamination through infusion, a process optimising
relations between fibre and resin while eliminating discharge
of harmful substances into the environment. Then all hulls are
strengthened by an imposing carbon structure, optimising rigidity
and strength while keeping weight down. More sporty models also
come in a Sport version, with bulkheads in composite, lightweight
furnishing and optimised equipment for high level races.
