GRAND SOLEIL 72

Cantiere doors open for an exclusive look behind the scenes: work continues on the construction of the first Grand Soleil 72. Through Alberto Cocchi’s shots, we can observe the craftsmen of Cantiere del Pardo working hard to complete the very latest project by Grand Soleil Yachts. The new flagship of the Grand Soleil fleet will be launched in few weeks ahead of its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.

The Cantiere’s craftsmanship and experience gained over 50 years of history are not only limited to developing excellent aesthetic lines but also to the care technical details of all those areas where the eye does not normally reach. First, among many, all the composite bulkheads for the interior are weighed one by one while defining the thickness of each ad hoc to optimize its strength, lightness and performance. Ensuring the reliability of Grand Soleil boats has always been a strength of Cantiere del Pardo. All construction processes and onboard systems are tested and certified with the strictest quality controls.

The 72-footer will be the result of a totally Made in Italy design process, with a team of professionals representing Italian excellence in the international nautical industry. The creation of the new yacht is being overseen by project manager Franco Corazza, while designer Matteo Polli took care of naval architecture. Marco Lostuzzi also contributed to the realization of this project, focusing on the structures, and Nauta Design, for the general layout and design of the deck and interiors. The team was guided by the goal of creating a boat with an avowedly Italian aesthetic, elegant and modern design, and high comfort ergonomics both on deck and inside.

From the meticulousness of the construction processes to the quality controls of every single part of the boats, even today it is the people whose knowledge is passed down within the Shipyard that guarantee the reliability of Grand Soleil Yachts.
